Niesen – Diemtigtal

Bookable hiking offer

On the panoramic hike from the Niesen into the Diemtigtal valley, you can enjoy the view over the Simmen and Diemtigtal valleys and Lake Thun. The Niesen Railway takes you to the Niesen Kulm mountain station at 2336 m above sea level in 30 minutes. You hike along the marked mountain trail into the Diemtigtal valley and reach the Gsässweid inn after around 4.5 hours.

  1. Ascent with the Niesenbahn
  2. Dinner and breakfast at the Gasthaus Gsässweid
  3. Overnight stay in a dormitory (surcharge for double room)
  4. Return transportation to Oey-Diemtigen railroad station or to the valley station of the Niesen Railway

The offer can be booked from June to October at the Diemtigtal Nature Park office.
