Every year from the beginning of October, the Niesen casts its pyramid-shaped shadow onto Lake Thun! This spectacular event makes a trip to the Niesen particularly special.

The ideal time to see the perfect Niesen shadow is every day when the sun is shining, between about 2.30 pm and 4 pm. At this time the shadow is particularly striking.
